About CHAA

The Coastal Homeschool Athletic Association, Inc. & the CHAA Hurricanes Booster Club is a non-profit charitable 501(c)3 fundraising and Christian outreach community sports program for middle school & high school student-athletes, who are home-educated or attend a private school without access to an athletic program, but want the opportunity to play sports, receive varsity letters, and earn potential college scholarships.

Our Mission

Founded in 2010 and approved for non-profit 501(c)3 status in 2014, CHAA is built around the ideals of team “unity,” Christ-like “character”, and “honor” on and off the court or field, including online. The Board of Directors, leadership, and coaches who volunteer with CHAA must believe in and agree with the CHAA Statement of Faith. Many students miss out on athletics because they are homeschooled or attend a private school without an athletic program. CHAA provides these sports: volleyball, basketball, baseball, soccer, football, cheerleading, cross country, and middle school golf to student-athletes. The state of Georgia has a physical education requirement for high school graduates, and CHAA allows these students to meet this educational requirement. Athletics ensure a healthy lifestyle and increase personal drive & confidence. CHAA is the abbreviation for Coastal Homeschool Athletic Association. CHAA is a 100% parent-led volunteer Christian organization with a heart for student-athletes. CHAA’s success is dependent upon fundraisers, donations & sponsors to continue this outreach athletic program and meet the needs of our student-athletes, who, if CHAA didn’t exist, wouldn’t have the opportunity to play sports & thrive in athletics at the varsity level during their middle and high school years.
